2025 HTRS Football Schedule
Please plan to attend the presentation "The Role of Parents in Education-Based Athletics" on Thursday, August 28th, in the New Gym at 6 p.m.
There will be a high school football parent meeting at 6:00 pm on August 18th in the HTRS commons area. We ask that each athlete have at least one parent/guardian at the meeting.
There will be a junior high girls' volleyball parent meeting at 4:30 pm on August 18th in the HTRS commons area. We ask that each athlete have at least one parent/guardian at the meeting.
The buses will load at 4:15 pm on Sunday, August 17th, for the Johnson County Fair Parade in Tecumseh. The parade begins at 5:30 pm. Students are to bring money for concessions after the parade and will wear their summer band uniform with tennis shoes. Please stay hydrated!
A congratulations goes out to Liam Hilgenfeld! Liam's poem, "Ode to Nature" was published in the book Fine Lines, which is a Nebraska-based book.
Sophomore Eden Duryea's environmental artwork was selected for the 2026 "Nebraska: Don't Waste It!" calendar. There were over 400 entries, and only 13 artworks were selected. Congratulations Eden!
First day of school, what a great day! This morning the students had an opportunity to show off their game skills, rekindle friendships and build teamwork.

The first junior high football practice is today from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Students are to meet in the commons area. There will be a parents' meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the commons area. Go Titans!
Titan Fans - Mark your calendars for the 2025 Titan Tailgate at our first home football game on Friday, August 29th! This Titan tradition is a great way for the community to come together and support our Titan athletes. The Booster Club will also accept donations of individually wrapped desserts. Go Titans!

The after-school program on Sept 15th. The program is after-school until 5:30 on Mondays - Thursdays, with no care on early out days. Please contact Jaime Frey for more information.
The Nemaha County Fair Parade has been postponed until tomorrow. Due to the open house tomorrow evening, HTRS will not be marching in the parade.
7-12 band students, we are loading the buses for the Nemaha County fair parade at 4:30pm on Monday, August 11th. The parade begins at 6. Students should bring money for food and wear their summer band uniform.
SUMMER BLOWOUT AT HTRS EARLY LEARNING CENTER
The first junior high football practice will take place on August 13th at 4 p.m. Football players are to report to the commons area. Players need to bring cleats and a mouth guard if they want to use their own. The school will provide mouth guards if a player does not have their own. Players must have a physical turned into the office prior to the first practice. There will be a parents' meeting in the commons area at 5:30 p.m. Please contact Mr. Dunekacke with any questions. Please see the information below about Saturday sports medicine clinics in the fall for 7 -12 athletes at Nebraska Orthopedic. Nebraska Orthopedic will send a trainer to HTRS Schools each Tuesday throughout the school year to evaluate and assist 7-12 athletes with injuries.
